Search for a German partner for a Franco-German exchange project between children involved in civic life

I'm taking the liberty of contacting you as part of an educational and civic project we'd like to develop with a group of young Germans. We are looking for a partner in Germany - ideally a commune or youth organization - that supports children involved in local life and would be interested in an exchange with French children.

On the French side, the group is made up of 8 children aged 9 to 11, all active members of the children's municipal council uniting the communes of Menthonnex-sous-Clermont and Crempigny-Bonneguête, located in Haute-Savoie. These children regularly take part in citizen, environmental and cultural projects within their commune.

This project is part of your call for projects, to which we would like to respond. As the deadline for submission is November 28, 2025, we are in an active phase of seeking partners to bring this fine initiative to fruition.

Project objectives:

• Encourage active citizenship from an early age
• Strengthen European ties through a concrete, human experience
• Foster cultural openness and mutual understanding

Planned format:

• Stay of a few days, alternating between France and Germany
• Accommodation in families or adapted structures, with educational supervision

Proposed activities:

• Participatory workshops around local democracy, the environment and culture
• Visits to institutions (town halls, associations, places of remembrance)
• Intercultural games, evening events, sports and outdoor activities

Target audience:

• Children aged 10 to 11
• Members involved in municipal children's councils or similar structures

This project is of course open to adaptation according to the realities and desires of the German partner. We would be delighted to co-construct this program with you or any interested structure.
