The benefits for clubs and social and cultural institutions are obvious: Up-and-coming staff from the neighbouring country enrich the team with innovative ideas and bring new perspectives to everyday work. By including information in the tender that is as precise as possible, the institution can broaden its employee base and select the applications according to its own needs and on the basis of programme criteria.

Young people who participate in the ‘Work with a partner’ programme can broaden their intercultural and linguistic skills, advance in their own personal lives and benefit from the experience of a career-based stay abroad. They also become part of the programme network and can make important contacts for the future.

How the FGYO supports host partners

Through ‘Work with a partner’, the FGYO supports institutions seeking to organise Franco-German youth exchanges.

  • Host institutions may receive grants towards payroll expenses if they hire a young person from the partner country for one year. The remuneration is at least equal to the applicable minimum wage.
  • The FGYO will help you find the right candidate. You can publish job listings on our website; we are also happy to forward spontaneous applications to your institution.
  • Programme participants also receive a travel allowance from the FGYO.
