“Promoting Diversity and Participation” – a Franco-German network for the exchange of exemplary initiatives at regional and local levels
The network founded by the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO) and the foundation Stiftung Genshagen, in 2006, has been coordinated by the Centre Français de Berlin (CFB) since 2012. As a social contact point for the structural issues of inequality and discrimination against young people, it is committed to diversity and participation.
Its objectives are to promote an open, tolerant and pluralist society that represents the values of peaceful coexistence and international solidarity. This society is to be based on commitment from young people, who play an active role in its realization and design.
The network’s specific activities consist of developing and supporting Franco-German projects, the establishment of partnerships and the coordination of joint actions, as well as in scientific cooperation with research groups and institutes. Thanks to the network, numerous successful Franco-German projects have already been launched.
The network and its annual meeting are open to all specialists in the field of youth work from Berlin and Brandenburg and the Ile-de-France, including Paris.
