The “Route NN” initiative is committed to ensuring that diversity in exchange programs becomes a reality and that everyone can participate in them. It was created by the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO) and several partner organizations to promote the participation of young people from the regions of Haut-de-France and North Rhine-Westphalia in intercultural youth meetings. It is aimed at non-formal education and youth workers and seeks to support them in acquiring new skills and by facilitating their cooperation.
The aim of the network is to promote and further develop initiatives between the French and the German youth work sector in the two regions. Particular attention will be paid to the fact that young people can take part in the Franco-German exchanges who have not yet benefited from programs of this kind or have less access to them.
The conferences organized within the framework of the network bring together young people from North Rhine-Westphalia and Haut-de-France to participate in workshops, to visit youth work organizations in the partner region, to exchange ideas and to develop projects with intercultural and inclusive approaches.
The Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO) is an international organization working for Franco-German cooperation, which has enabled nearly 9 million young people from France and Germany to participate in 320,000 exchange programs since 1963.
