Who, when, where?

You are ...

  • ... aged between 18 and 30 years?

  • ... a trainee, student, pupil, unemployed, young professional, refugee, …?

And you would like to meet young people from different backgrounds and create together?

Then you should join the Future-Lab from June 30th to July 6th 2023 in Berlin.

What's it about?

You will camp for 7 days with other young people and create your own projects in workshops on one of the following topics:

  1. environmental responsibility and climate protection – sustainable and inclusive forms of living?

  2. war in Europe - the values of democracy and peace ?

  3. Change of society - alternatives of living together

You either develop a model project on one of the topics in groups of max. 10 people – be creative: there are no limits to your way of expression (e.g. a flash mob for peace / a construction plan for beehives in cities / The World-WG: A housing experiment / ... ). The FGYO will support you to realize your own project!

Alternatively, you will deal artistically with one of the three topics (e.g. performance art, theatre, poetry slam, photography, videography, graffiti, ...) - the workshops will be led by young artists from Germany, France or Ukraine.

There will also be exchanges with inspiring, diverse young people and political decision-makers.

On 5 July, your model projects and art-projects will have their premiere! You will present them in your own way at the public birthday party "60th anniversary of the DFJW".

What else you should know:

  • Participation is free of charge

  • You will get free catering on site from 30.6. evening to 6.7. noon

  • Camping should not be a problem for you

  • (Tents will be provided by the DFJW if needed).

  • Your travel costs will be reimbursed by the DFJW up to a maximum of 300€ for travel from France and 150€ for travel from Germany.

You want to be part of it?

Then apply until May 29th at noon using our online form (takes only 5 minutes)

We'll let you know by the end of May if you're part of the Future Lab.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
