"Roter Baum" Berlin UG (haftungsbeschänkt) is nongovernmental organisation founded 2011 by "Roter Baum" e.V. and is running all projects of "Roter Baum" organization network in Berlin city in district Marzahn-Heersdorf, Treptow-Köpenick, Reinickendorf and Mitte. It follows the work of gKJHG "Roter Baum" mbH. We are working since 2001 in Berlin on several programs.

We run a youth centre named “Anna Landsberger” and “Unterm Dach” that have constant programs for youth with decentralized activities; a multigenerational education center “Buntes Haus” that attracts and implement programs with people of a different age; a participation center called “Zentrale” that follows administrative tasks for the called organization, create and promote mobility opportunities for young people and also increase cooperation both nationally and internationally; mobile youth centers “MaHe” and “Langes See”; “Lernwerkstätten” centers of a different type that offers creative, learning, musical, artistic, environmental education and free time activities to the people by creating them less abstract and more accessible.

All our facilities are constantly hosting a few national and international volunteers.

We have organized seminars, trainings, cultural as well as political education debates, forums, theatre presentations, concerts, youth exchanges, graffiti and mural painting sessions, summer camps, volunteering services and activities for professionals since 2005.

According to our values “…We want to discern the world in order to apply the acquired knowledge to the benefit of people and nature. ... We know that this society deprives the natural and social livelihoods of many people and we fight for this reason active against existing injustices…” objectives in all our work is to improve our daily acting and tech youth to do same. That’s what proof our work in the youth centre, family centre and all educational projects, that fit to that objectives, and to allow all people who want to participate, to do that.

We have a lot of experience in working with youngsters as well as working with educators. Our workers develop their own or readapt existing methodologies for working with youngsters on various topics and also exploring new working methods and environments. They are not only pedagogues and social workers but also methodologists, and youth workers. Our staff have a lot of experience in moderation and non-formal education methods. This combination of competencies is getting together quite well in the development of our services as well as its qualities.

Also, our organization is a member and hosts the ORA Network.
