Our high school (Collège Notre-Dame de la Renaissance & Lycée Hélène Boucher), located in Somain (northern France, south of Lille), is offering a volunteer position starting in September 2025. We have two tasks for you: * “Language Promotion and Global Awareness” (assisting with language instruction, conducting language support and enrichment modules, preparing and supervising study abroad programs, organizing a German-French exchange, and introducing the German language in elementary school) * “Academic Support” (tutoring, educational and extracurricular activities, cultural and sports workshops) * An 8-month volunteer position will be available starting in September 2025 * Volunteers will, of course, have time off during school breaks Volunteers will be placed at the following institutions: * the Institution Notre-Dame de La Renaissance in Somain (elementary school & high school) Cologne Christmas Market * exchange with the Gymnasium am Schloss in Saarbrücken * the Institution Saint Jean de Douai (elementary school & high school) * Saint Jean Baptiste de La Salle School in Valenciennes (elementary and high school) * Notre-Dame des Anges School in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (high school) * Stay in Berlin * Christmas market * Saint Joseph School in Saint-Saulve (Elementary School) Requirements * Age between 16 and 26 * Interest in education and teaching * Sociability, curiosity, organizational skills, and team spirit * Good knowledge of French * Knowledge of English and/or Spanish and/or Italian is a plus * IT and communication skills are also a plus * Initiative and creativity are valued Contact: Frank ENGELS, Professor of History
