Hello, dear Au Pair,

We are a family of four from Krefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia) and are looking for an au pair to join our family for about a year starting in August 2027.

Our family consists of Tobias (37), Madeleine (33), our daughter (born in January 2024), and our son (born in November 2026).

Tobias works at the Ministry of the Environment in Düsseldorf. Madeleine is an instrumental music teacher and is beginning training to become a preschool teacher.

We are a Franco-German family. We want our children to grow up bilingual, speaking both German and French. That’s why it’s essential to us that our au pair speaks French with them and naturally introduces them to the language in everyday life.

We live in Krefeld, a green city in the Lower Rhine region with a population of about 230,000. Krefeld offers a nice balance between city life and nature. There are many green spaces and plenty of opportunities for walking or biking, as well as cozy cafés, good restaurants, and a rich cultural scene.

Thanks to good public transportation connections, even the major cities are easily accessible. Nearby Düsseldorf, Cologne, and the Ruhr region offer plenty of opportunities for day trips, shopping, cultural activities, concerts, and meeting other young people.

We’re looking for help, especially with childcare. This includes, for example, taking our daughter to and from preschool and looking after our son during the day.

It would be great if you could play with the children, read them stories, sing songs with them, take them for walks, and speak to them entirely in French. In this way, you’ll become an important part of their French-speaking daily life.

We’d also appreciate a helping hand with a few small household tasks, such as grocery shopping or cleaning. It’s important to us that this help fits easily into our family routine and doesn’t involve a significant amount of housework.

What we offer:

* a monthly salary of 500 euros for approximately 30 to 35 hours of work per week (Monday through Friday)
