Presentation
A science exchange is an opportunity for young aspiring scientists to get to know each other at a youth meeting that not only encourages skills related to your favorite science subject, but also lets you meet people from different cultures.
When taking part in a youth exchange in either France or Germany you will meet people your own age with whom you share the same common interest in all things tech and science. Together you will be able to explore your favorite STEM-subjects, work on a related project and learn about the techniques and methods needed for your project to succeed.
Our partner organizations and institutions organize a wide range of youth meetings and exchanges throughout the year. By supporting these efforts, the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO) aims to give you the opportunity to explore your scientific curiosity and to learn about scientific issues from experts while experimenting and working on projects with fellow scientists your own age.
The youth meetings are not science ‘boot-camps’ in the strict sense of the word. Instead, they are an opportunity to meet people from different cultures. You can meet like-minded young people and your instructors come from the French Tech or German start-up scene. So, you will also have the chance to experience French or German culture while taking part in the FGYO’s youth meetings around science and technology.

Advantages of the program
During our science meetings, you will have the chance to meet like-minded people, while learning from experts who work in the French Tech or German start-up scene, for example. Use this unique chance to meet the scientists of tomorrow!
The science exchange is also an opportunity to work on your intercultural communication skills while getting to know people in an international and open-minded environment in either France or Germany.
If you are interested in STEM-subjects and all things tech and science, we want to give you the opportunity to work on a project and learn more about specific areas of science and the methods and techniques relevant for scientific practice.
